Overview

This kerala honeymoon package 7 nights 8 days covers the five destinations that give a Kerala honeymoon its full range — hill station, spice forest, quiet backwater lake, canal backwater and beach, in that sequence. Munnar handles the first two nights at altitude, Thekkady gives the spice plantation and wildlife reserve evening, Kumarakom gives the Vembanad Lake houseboat night, Alleppey adds the canal network and the village backwater, and Kovalam closes the trip on the Arabian Sea coast. Eight days is the right duration for this circuit — each destination gets enough time to settle rather than feeling like a transit stop between the next one.

Bon Voyagers manages the complete ground programme for this kerala honeymoon package 7 nights 8 days from Kochi Airport arrival. The private AC Innova Crysta covers all road transfers throughout. Seven nights accommodation — two at Munnar, one at Thekkady, one Kumarakom houseboat night on Vembanad Lake, one at Alleppey, two at Kovalam — daily breakfast and dinner on MAP basis. Houseboat lunch and evening tea on the Kumarakom night, Periyar Lake boat ride entry and all sightseeing transfers as per the itinerary are included. The per person cost of this kerala honeymoon package 7 nights 8 days is ₹31,100.

8 Days

This kerala honeymoon package 7 nights 8 days begins at Kochi Airport where the Bon Voyagers representative meets the couple on arrival. The drive from Kochi to Munnar covers approximately 130 kilometres through the Ernakulam plains before climbing into the Idukki hills. The Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls appear on the roadside as the vehicle gains altitude — the first visual signal that the plains are behind and the hills ahead.
Munnar sits at around 1,600 metres and the cooler air on arrival is the first thing honeymooners notice. Dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Munnar.

A full Munnar day. The morning covers Eravikulam National Park — the protected high-altitude grassland where the Nilgiri Tahr, found only in the southern Western Ghats, is regularly sighted on the open slopes. Entry is by Forest Department regulated vehicle from the park gate.
The afternoon is Mattupetty Dam — a storage reservoir approximately 13 kilometres from Munnar town — and the Kundala tea estate viewpoints along the upper road. The light on the tea plantation slopes in the late afternoon, when the mist starts coming in from the valley side, is what most people photograph on their Munnar visit. Overnight at Munnar.

The Munnar to Thekkady drive covers approximately 90 to 105 kilometres through the cardamom and spice plantation country of the Devikulam range. The road descends from Munnar's elevation and the landscape shifts from open tea estates to denser spice garden corridors as it nears Thekkady. Arrival by mid-afternoon.
The Periyar Lake boat ride inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve runs in the afternoon — a one to two hour circuit on the reservoir where elephant, deer and bison come to the water's edge. Sightings are possible and well documented but never guaranteed. The evening is the Thekkady spice market. Overnight at Thekkady.

The drive from Thekkady to Kumarakom covers approximately 85 kilometres through the Kottayam rubber and spice belt, taking around two hours. Kumarakom sits on the eastern shore of Vembanad Lake — Kerala's largest lake, stretching across approximately 200 square kilometres between Kottayam and Alappuzha districts. Houseboat check-in is typically at noon.
The afternoon is the lake — the vessel moves out onto the open water with paddy fields and coconut groves on the bank and the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary visible from the deck. Lunch and evening tea are served on the houseboat. The Vembanad sunset from the deck is the specific image that defines this day of the kerala honeymoon package 7 nights 8 days. Overnight on the houseboat.

Houseboat checkout is by 9 AM. The short drive from Kumarakom to Alleppey covers approximately 16 kilometres — a transfer that shifts the backwater experience from the open Vembanad Lake to the canal network that Alleppey is built around. Alleppey's canal system is denser and more village-facing than the open lake character of Kumarakom — narrow waterways, low bridges and the sounds of the canal banks rather than the open water horizon.
The afternoon is a country canoe or shikara ride through the inner canal network from the hotel side. The Alleppey beach on the western edge of the town is a short drive for the evening. Overnight at Alleppey.

The drive from Alleppey to Kovalam covers approximately 155 kilometres through Kollam and the south Kerala coast — around three to four hours. The landscape shifts from the flat backwater zone to the rolling coastal terrain as the vehicle approaches Trivandrum district. Kovalam sits approximately 16 kilometres south of Trivandrum city.
The three beaches at Kovalam — Lighthouse Beach, Hawah Beach and Samudra Beach — are separated by rocky headlands. Lighthouse Beach is the largest, named after the red-and-white striped lighthouse at its southern end. The first Kovalam evening is the beach and the sunset from the headland near the lighthouse. Overnight at Kovalam.

A full Kovalam day without a fixed programme is the right structure for the second-to-last day of this kerala honeymoon package 7 nights 8 days. The morning is Lighthouse Beach before the day-trippers arrive from Trivandrum — the beach at 7 AM has a different quality from the afternoon. Hawah Beach adjoining it is the quieter option — the fishermen still work from this section and the beach is less built up on the promenade side.
Samudra Beach to the north is the most secluded of the three. The Vizhinjam Lighthouse observation platform is a short climb and gives a coastal view that covers both the Kovalam curve and the open sea to the south. Overnight at Kovalam.

The final morning covers Trivandrum before the departure flight. The Napier Museum and Kuthiramalika Palace are both in the museum complex area approximately 16 kilometres from Kovalam — the Kuthiramalika is an early 19th-century royal palace with carved wooden interiors and Kerala mural paintings, and the Napier Museum building itself is a 19th-century heritage structure.
The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple nearby is open to Hindu visitors in traditional dress. After the morning the vehicle proceeds to Trivandrum Airport. The Bon Voyagers vehicle drops at Trivandrum Airport. The kerala honeymoon package 7 nights 8 days ends here.
