Overview

This 5 Days, 4 Nights ziro valley tour package settles you into the Apatani heartland of Arunachal Pradesh, a pine ringed plateau of wet rice fields and old tribal villages at a gentle elevation. Unlike the high passes of the west, Ziro sits at a comfortable height, so the trip is about culture and slow days rather than altitude.

You travel in a private Innova, Xylo or Scorpio class vehicle with a driver who runs these hill roads regularly. Hotels, all meals on MAP, fuel, tolls and the Inner Line Permit are arranged before you arrive, so your time goes into the villages and the valley, not the paperwork.

Itinerary

Our representative meets you at Lilabari Airport in North Lakhimpur, or at Naharlagun railway, and the ziro valley tour package begins with the climb up to Ziro, roughly 110 kilometres and about four to five hours on winding hill roads. The Inner Line Permit is checked on the way into Arunachal Pradesh.
The drive trades the Assam plains for pine slopes as you gain the plateau. You reach your hotel in Ziro by evening, settle in and rest after the long approach.

After breakfast you spend the day among the Apatani villages, the cultural core of the ziro valley tour package. You walk through Hong, one of the largest villages in Arunachal Pradesh, along with Hari and Hija, where the wet rice and fish farming system has run for generations.
You meet local families, see the traditional bamboo homes and learn how the valley feeds itself sustainably. A stop at the Tarin fish farm and a pine grove rounds out the day before you return to your hotel for the night.

After breakfast you head to the high points around the valley. You climb to the Ziro Putu and Dolo Mando viewpoints and the Kile Pakho ridge, which open out over the full patchwork of paddy fields below. You then visit the Meghna Cave Temple and the large natural Shiva Lingam in the Kardo Hills, set among thick pine forest.
The pace stays unhurried, which is the point of this part of the trip. You return to Ziro by evening for dinner and an easy night.

Today is kept deliberately slow, in keeping with how the ziro valley tour package is built. You spend unhurried time in the older village lanes, visit local craft and weaving spots, and take in the plateau at walking pace.
For travellers who want a forest day, an optional guided trip into the Talley Valley Wildlife Sanctuary can be arranged locally, as it needs a separate permit and a forest guide. Those who prefer rest stay in the valley. You return to your Ziro hotel for the final night.

Your five day journey closes today. After breakfast you check out and take the drive back down to Lilabari Airport or Naharlagun railway, roughly 110 kilometres and four to five hours, timed to your flight or train.
Ending on schedule is the whole point of the ziro valley tour package, so the descent is planned with buffer time rather than a rush. Our representative assists with the drop and your Apatani trip ends on a calm note.
