Overview
Pasighat sits where the Siang exits the mountains, the same river that joins the Dibang and Lohit downstream to become the Brahmaputra. The town was established in 1911 and is the oldest inΒ Arunachal Pradesh. This pasighat tour package runs 5 Days, 4 Nights from Dibrugarh, based on the Siang riverbank and covering the Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary, the upper Siang valley and the Adi tribal villages of East Siang.
Elevation here sits around 150 metres, so this is not an altitude trip. The draw is the river, the wildlife sanctuary on its islands, the culture of the Adi people and a pace of travel that feels genuinely different from theΒ Tawang circuit. The private car, Inner Line Permit and MAP meals are sorted before you land at Dibrugarh.
Day-wise Itinerary
5-day travel plan β tap any day to view full details.
Our representative is at Dibrugarh airport or railway and the pasighat tour package begins with the drive to Pasighat, about four hours including the Inner Line Permit check and the Brahmaputra crossing into Arunachal Pradesh.
The road drops into the river flats and Pasighat arrives on the Siang bank in the afternoon, low and warm and nothing like the mountain towns most Arunachal travellers know. Check in, find the river view and rest.
Morning along the Siang riverbank, which earns a long and unhurried walk. The Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary occupies river islands near the town, a semi-evergreen grassland habitat with a documented record of migratory birds and the occasional Bengal Florican, one of the rarest grassland birds in the world recorded here.
Afternoon covers the older part of Pasighat, the market, and the colonial-era buildings that mark this as Arunachal's first town. Easy end to the day and early dinner by the river.
North of Pasighat the Siang valley opens further. An hour's drive takes you toward Pangin, where the valley narrows and the river runs fast between low hills. The pasighat tour package includes Adi villages along the route, where the river and forest culture of East Siang is distinct from the Monpa and Apatani traditions of the west.
You stop where there is something worth seeing, move when the road improves and return to Pasighat by evening at the river
Last morning in Pasighat and then the drive back, about four hours, crossing the Brahmaputra and trading the foothills for the Assam plains.
Dibrugarh overnight near the airport keeps the departure tomorrow clean. The river section closes here.
Airport in the morning, our representative at the drop and the pasighat tour package is done.
Five days on the oldest town's river, and the Siang still running the same way it always has.

Best Time to Visit
Pasighat is pleasant from October through April, when the river is settled after the monsoon and migratory birds are active in Daying Ering Wildlife Sanctuary. October and November bring the best wildlife window. February coincides with the Ali-Ai-Ligang festival of the Adi community. The monsoon between June and September brings flooding to riverside areas and can close sanctuary access.
