Day-wise Itinerary

Reach Leh Airport by 11 am. The flight into Leh is an experience in itself – as the aircraft descends between towering brown mountains, you get your first glimpse of the stark, barren, and incredibly beautiful Ladakhi landscape. Our representative will transfer you to the hotel, which is just 15 minutes from the airport. This is where the most important part of your leh ladakh tour package begins – acclimatization.

Since you are arriving at an altitude of approximately 4,000 metres from sea level in just one hour’s flight, your body needs time to adjust to the thin air and reduced oxygen. You may feel excited and want to explore everything on the first day, but we sincerely suggest that you rest completely. Drink plenty of water, avoid heavy meals, move slowly, and stay indoors for the majority of the day. Headaches, breathlessness, and mild nausea are common at this altitude and will pass with proper rest. Some women find it helpful to sleep for a few hours in the afternoon. The hotel rooms are comfortable and the views from the windows are stunning enough to enjoy from indoors.

In the evening, enjoy a group dinner at the hotel – this is your ice-breaking session where you meet your fellow women travelers for the first time. The warmth of shared introductions, laughter over dinner, and the excitement of what lies ahead makes this first evening of your leh ladakh tour package truly special. The mountains are waiting, and so are friendships that will last far beyond this trip. Overnight stay at Leh.

After an early breakfast, we drive towards the east of Ladakh for a full day of sightseeing on your leh ladakh tour package. Our first stop is Magnetic Hill, a fascinating spot that defies the law of gravity – vehicles placed in neutral appear to roll uphill on their own. The optical illusion is thrilling, and everyone in the group will want to test it out and capture it on video.

From Magnetic Hill, we continue to the famous Confluence of Two Rivers – the Indus River coming from Tibet on the left and the Zanskar River coming from Zanskar Valley on the right. The two rivers meet but do not mix, creating a stunning visual of two different coloured waters flowing side by side. This leh ladakh tour package sight of the deep blue Indus merging with the muddy green of the Zanskar is a natural wonder that you can sit and watch for hours on your leh ladakh tour package.

We then visit Hall of Fame, a museum constructed and maintained by the Indian Army in memory of the soldiers who lost their lives during the 1999 Indo-Pak wars. The museum displays weapons, uniforms, photographs, and handwritten letters from soldiers to their families that tell the story of incredible courage and sacrifice. The exhibits cover the history of Indian military operations in Ladakh from the 1947 war to the Kargil conflict. For many women on this leh ladakh tour package, the Hall of Fame is an emotional and deeply patriotic experience that brings tears to your eyes.

Next is Gurudwara Pathar Sahab, a beautiful Sikh shrine built on a massive boulder that bears the sacred imprint of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s body. The gurudwara is maintained by the Indian Army, and the peace and devotion inside are deeply moving. Soldiers and travelers alike stop here to pray and seek blessings for safe journeys through the mountains.

After visiting the confluence, we head to Alchi, home to a complex of temples dating back to the 11th century. Alchi is the most celebrated of Ladakh’s monasteries and features incredibly well-preserved ancient murals and Buddhist art. On the way back, we visit Likir Monastery, originally built in the 11th century and reconstructed in the 18th century, which houses a magnificent 25-feet gold-covered Buddha statue that towers above the monastery courtyard. The statue against the backdrop of clear Ladakhi skies is one of the most photographed sights on any leh ladakh tour package.

Back in Leh, we visit the historic Leh Palace, a nine-storey structure that was once the royal residence of the King of Ladakh, followed by Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist monument that offers panoramic sunset views of the entire Leh valley. The golden light of sunset over the mountains as seen from Shanti Stupa is a moment of pure peace. Dinner and overnight stay at Leh.

Please Note: The entry ticket to Hall of Fame museum is Rs. 250/- per person. The ticket includes the Light & Sound show held every evening by 7 pm (vehicle for the evening show is not included in the package – transport cost approx Rs. 1,500–2,000 per vehicle. Monday it will be closed).

After early breakfast, we drive for Nubra Valley as early as possible on what is one of the most thrilling days of your leh ladakh tour package. The route passes through Khardung La at 18,379 feet, one of the highest motorable roads in the world. The ascent from Leh is steep and winding, with the landscape becoming increasingly barren and snow-covered as you climb higher. Military camps and checkpoints dot the route, reminding you that this is active border territory.

From the pass, you can see all the way south over the Indus Valley to the seemingly endless peaks of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. The air is biting cold, the wind is fierce, and the views from this leh ladakh tour package highlight are absolutely limitless. Prayer flags snap in the wind and the sky above is the deepest blue you have ever seen.

Every woman on this leh ladakh tour package wants that iconic photograph at the Khardung La signboard – wrapped in jackets, scarves flying in the wind, grinning from ear to ear at 18,000 feet. The sense of achievement of standing at this height is indescribable. We descend from the pass into Nubra Valley, popularly known as Ldumra or the Valley of Flowers. Nubra is situated between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges at an average altitude of 10,000 feet.

Upon arrival, we check into our camp or hotel in Hunder. The evening is free to walk around the tiny villages and observe how locals live in this remote corner of the world. The leh ladakh tour package highlight at the sand dunes of Hunder, where double-humped Bactrian camels roam freely, create a surreal desert-in-the-mountains landscape. The sunset over these dunes, with the Karakoram range in the background, is one of those sights that makes you understand why people travel so far to reach Ladakh. Overnight stay at Camp or Hotel in Hunder.

Today’s leh ladakh tour package takes you to Turtuk, the last village to which travel permits are issued for tourists in Nubra Valley. Located approximately 82 km from Hunder, the drive takes about 3 hours through some of the most dramatic mountain roads you will ever see. Turtuk sits at an altitude of 9,846 feet and is inhabited by the Balti people of Tibetan descent. The village has a fascinating history – until 1971, it was part of Baltistan under Pakistani control.

The story that goes around Turtuk by the village elders is about how one night they went to bed in Pakistan and when they woke up, they were part of India. To enter the village, you cross a wooden bridge over a rushing river, surrounded by apricot trees in full bloom during season. The village is carved into the mountainside with narrow pathways winding between stone walls and wooden doors. Turtuk is certainly one of the most beautiful and colourful villages on your leh ladakh tour package route – stone houses with wooden balconies, terraced fields of barley and buckwheat, and the kindest, most welcoming people you will meet anywhere in the mountains.

Spend the day exploring the village on foot, tasting fresh apricots and apricot jam, visiting the local mosque and the royal house of the Yabgo dynasty, and interacting with the Balti women who are incredibly warm and curious about visitors. The children of Turtuk will follow you with bright smiles, and the elders will invite you for butter tea in their homes. The pace of life here is gentle and timeless, completely untouched by the rush of modern cities. Many women on this leh ladakh tour package say that Turtuk is the place where they felt most at peace during the entire trip. We return to Hunder by evening for dinner and rest. Overnight stay at Camp or Hotel.

Today we start early for the most awaited part of this leh ladakh tour package – the beautiful Pangong Lake. The road from Hunder to Pangong Tso takes about 6 hours and goes alongside the River Shyok till Shyok village. The drive is long but never boring – the landscape changes dramatically every hour, from green valleys to barren mountains to sandy riverbeds that stretch for miles.

You cross small bridges over icy streams, pass through military checkpoints, and watch marmots pop their heads out of burrows along the roadside. The last stretch before Pangong builds the excitement to a fever pitch as the road climbs over a ridge. And then suddenly, there it is – the legendary Pangong Tso Lake appears below you in all its breathtaking glory, stretching as far as the eye can see. This leh ladakh tour package moment takes your breath away every single time.

Pangong Lake is situated at a height of 14,270 feet above sea level and is one of the highest saline water lakes in the world. Lying almost on the Indo-Chinese border, a part of it falls in India while the other extends into China. The lake is about 5 km wide at its broadest point and approximately 134 km in length. But statistics cannot prepare you for the visual impact of actually seeing it. This leh ladakh tour package lake changes colour throughout the day – from deep blue to turquoise to emerald green to almost purple at sunset. It is the kind of beauty that makes you fall silent.

You can recreate some of your favourite Bollywood moments from 3 Idiots and Jab Tak Hai Jaan at the famous 3 Idiots Point, where the yellow scooter from the movie’s climax is stationed. Every woman on this leh ladakh tour package poses with the scooter, and the laughter and joy of the group at this spot are infectious. Pangong Tso is also a breeding ground for different bird species including bar-headed geese and Brahminy Ducks during summer.

The evening at Pangong is magical. As the sun sets behind the mountains, the lake turns a deep shade of indigo and the temperature drops sharply. Wrap yourself in blankets, sip hot soup, and watch the stars appear one by one in the clearest sky you have ever seen. The night sky at Pangong, far from any city lights, reveals the Milky Way in all its glory. This is a leh ladakh tour package moment that no photograph can truly capture. Overnight stay at Pangong tent/camp.

After a spectacular sunrise over Pangong Lake – the water glows gold and pink as the first light hits the surrounding mountains – we enjoy breakfast at the camp and check out. Today we drive back to Leh, covering approximately 220 km in about 7 hours. The route passes through Chang La Pass, one of the highest mountain passes in the world at over 17,000 feet. The road climbs steeply from the lake through rocky terrain before reaching the snowy summit of the pass. You can stop at the Chang La Cafe for a warming cup of tea and a plate of maggi noodles – simple food that tastes extraordinary at this altitude on your leh ladakh tour package.

At the top of Chang La, visit the Changla Baba Temple, after which the pass got its name. The temple is believed to be the guardian spirit of all travelers who cross Chang La, and many women on this leh ladakh tour package offer a small prayer here for safe travels. The descent from Chang La into the Leh valley is scenic and gradual, with the Indus River valley slowly opening up below you.

Reach Leh by afternoon and check into your hotel. After nearly a week at high-altitude camps and tents, the comfort of a proper hotel bed, a hot shower, and a warm room feels luxurious. The rest of the day is free to relax, or you can spend the evening at the local market to buy souvenirs for your loved ones. Ladakhi pashmina shawls, turquoise jewelry, silver prayer wheels, and Buddhist thangka paintings make beautiful gifts that carry the spirit of Ladakh home with you.

Visit some of the amazing cafes in Leh – many rooftop cafes serve Italian, Tibetan, and Indian food with views of the mountains and the Leh Palace lit up in the distance. The Bon Suhani Safar bonfire night happens this evening – gather around the fire with your fellow women travelers, share your favourite moments from the trip, and celebrate the incredible journey you have completed together. This is your last evening on the leh ladakh tour package, so make it count. Overnight stay at Leh.

Have a calm breakfast and soak in the memories of the past week. The mountains, the lakes, the monasteries, the sand dunes, and most importantly, the women who traveled with you – all of it comes together in this quiet final morning. Take a group photograph, exchange heartfelt goodbyes, and promise to stay in touch. The bonds formed during a Bon Suhani Safar leh ladakh tour package are forged in thin air and wide skies, and they last forever.

Our team will drop you at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport to take your flight out of Leh. As the aircraft climbs above the mountains and you see the Indus Valley one last time from your window seat, you will know that this leh ladakh tour package has changed something inside you. The silence of the mountains, the courage of the soldiers, the kindness of the Ladakhi people, and the beauty of Pangong will stay in your heart long after you land back home. Fly out with love, gratitude, and a suitcase full of the most incredible memories.
